12/05/2009 - New release of GridPro2FOAM:
GridPro2FOAM is a converter from GridPro output format to OpenFOAM input format written in C++.
The latest version 5.6, now handles the internal surfaces boundary conditions as used in OpenFOAM. The cyclic patch needs to be defined as an internal surface in GridPro. By default the internal surfaces are usualy treated as standard block connectivities. However, by specifying the option "--cyclic surface_number" at the end of the command line, the internal surface will be treated as a cyclic patch and converted into a separate boundary condition inside the OpenFOAM boundary file.
It is also possible to specify more than one cyclic patch unlike in the previous versions.
On the picture on the left, you can see the use of an internal surface to model an helicopter with an actuator disk.
The converter can be downloaded freely at the following address:GridPro2FOAM 5.6
26/04/2009 to 30/04/2009 - First IAA Planetary Defense Conference:
In the frame of its activities on the study of the impact of the atmosphere on an asteroid entry, R.Tech was present at the conference held in Grenada.
The company, together with ONERA (The French Aerospace Lab), presented a poster describing the computations realised so far on an Apophis model as well as a global approach of the problem. One of the main goals is to be able to predict the behaviour of such an asteroid when entering the atmosphere, i.e. breaking into small parts or not, and then eventually be able to compute the entry of all the fragments side by side.
The research made on this topic could be further extended to different other cases like the re-entry of fragments of satelites for example.
The poster can be downloaded following this link: Poster
21/11/2008 - New release of GridPro2FOAM:
GridPro2FOAM is a converter from GridPro output format to OpenFOAM input format written in C++.
The last version 5.1, now handles the periodic boundary conditions specified into GridPro, as well as the specific conditions per block.
The converter can be downloaded freely at the following address:GridPro2FOAM 5.1
21/10/2008 to 23/10/2008 - Second international Atmosphere Reentry Association Days :
R.TECH, in collaboration with CNES an TsAGI has presented a paper "Axisymmetric Blunt Cone Entry Probe:Experimental Campaign and Numerical Rebuilding" at the last conference on Atmosphere reentry vehicles in Arcachon (33, France).
The paper as well as the presentation can be downloaded at the following links:

06/09/2008 - Press article on R.Tech development in the french economic journal "La Tribune" :
A press article has been written in the economic journal "La Tribune" of 5th Spetember 2008 on the history of R.Tech and its ongoing development.
This article resumes the efforts made by R.Tech to grow significantly in a close future.
21/07/2008 - R.Tech invests in a new cluster :
In order to cope with an increasing demand for CFD computations, R.Tech is pleased to anounce the investment in a brand new cluster including 120 computing cores and 240 Go of memory. With respect to the number of user, this is one of the biggest computation resource of the region.
The cluster is based on very last linux distribution and will allow to simulate very high ressource demanding CFD cases.
The rack tour has been chosen to be evolutive, and thus, the number of cores can still be increased if needed.
18/07/2008 - OpenFOAM workshop in Milan :
Being active into OpenFOAM for about two years, R.Tech decided to present part of their work at the third OpenFOAM workshop in Milan the 10th and 11th of July.
There, we could notice the high increase of interest in OpenFOAM.
The number of attendees is doubling for each workshop and developments done are always more and more interesting.
We encourage people having comments, questions or requests on our presentation to contact us, we will be please to answer to their requests.
25/06/2008 - Le Mans 24h race :
As a partner of Pescarolo Sport, R.Tech was present in Le Mans the 13th and 14th of June.
This fantastic event gathered about 300 000 people to finaly see the nice finish of Pescarolo n°17 just behind Audi and Peugeot, being the first non diesel engine.
25/06/2008 - TurboExpo in Berlin :
